The Oklahoma Medical Political Action Committee (OMPAC) is a nonpartisan political action committee affiliated with the Oklahoma State Medical Association which works to elect pro-medicine state candidates who advocate for medical issues at the Capitol. The criteria for being a pro-medicine candidate encompasses more than one issue. In fact, a wide range of issues, such as scope of practice, legal reform, Medicaid reimbursement and public health are considered by OMPAC.
We encourage all members to read through this report and learn more and please remember that your patients and practice are impacted daily by policy decisions made at the Capitol!
A special thanks to Dr. Steven Crawford for his involvement in the OMPAC!
